At Hopwood House Day Nursery we are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, passionate nursery practitioner to join our nursery family. This nursery is a warm and inviting homely setting with a fantastic outdoor environment. We are looking for an individual to provide a hands-on, fun, creative and an innovative environment for children. Working with children provides constant challenges, personally and professionally. You could be planning creative learning opportunities, an exciting day trip or working with parents – the job will vary from day to day.
This exciting opportunity to join our team is for a qualified level 3 practitioner, 24 hours a week and/or term time to start as soon as, once we have received 2 suitable references and a cleared DBS.
Responsibilities and Duties
Key Responsibilities:
- To promote a fun, high quality environment for the children aged from 2-3
- Ensuring that at all times the Welfare and Learning development requirements are met.
- Work in partnership with parents and carers.
- Undertake a shared responsibility for health and safety throughout the nursery.
- Ensure the general cleanliness of the children at all times.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Be fully aware of all emergency and security procedures relating to the nursery.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum Level 3 Qualification or equivalent
- A paediatric first aid certificate is preferable
- Previous experience with the under 5's is desirable, however not essential
