As we continue to grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to work alongside our Nursery Manager in delivering exceptional care and education while helping to build one of Wokingham's most exciting new early years settings.

The Role
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day leadership and operation of the nursery while maintaining the highest standards of care, learning and compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the daily management of the nursery
- Leading practice in accordance with the EYFS Framework
- Acting as a role model for outstanding teaching and learning
- Supporting, mentoring and motivating the staff team
- Ensuring safeguarding and welfare requirements are consistently met
- Planning engaging learning experiences that support every child's development
- Monitoring observations, assessments and learning journeys
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and carers
- Supporting occupancy growth through excellent customer service and parent engagement
- Assisting with audits, policies, compliance and preparation for Ofsted inspections
- Promoting a positive, inclusive and supportive nursery culture
About You
You'll be an enthusiastic early years professional who enjoys supporting others and takes pride in delivering exceptional childcare.
Essential
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
- Minimum 1 year's experience in an Early Years setting
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Confident communicator with parents, colleagues and external professionals
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a leadership team
- Commitment to providing outstanding care and education
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Childminder, Nanny, Room Leader or Early Years Educator
- Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Experience preparing for or supporting Ofsted inspections
- Experience using nursery management software
All qualifications must be recognised by Ofsted as Full and Relevant.
