Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support reception classroom activities and foster an inclusive learning environment The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, students, and specialists to provide tailored assistance, particularly with children requiring additional support. Duties
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and educational activities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to help students achieve their academic goals
- Facilitate communication between students and staff, ensuring clear understanding of instructions
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support behavioural management strategies and social skills development programmes
- Assist in preparing learning materials and organising classroom resources
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers for ongoing support plans
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, particularly in educational or care settings
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring students with diverse needs is desirable
- Compassionate attitude with patience and adaptability in challenging situations
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields are advantageous
