Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all kitchen areas are hygienic and well-stocked, enabling chefs to deliver excellent food service. Previous experience in food preparation or hospitality is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
- Support chefs with cooking and plating dishes as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment to meet health and safety standards.
- Wash, dry, and store crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and other kitchenware efficiently.
- Restock supplies and ensure ingredients are stored correctly to prevent spoilage.
- Assist with waste disposal and ensure the kitchen remains tidy throughout service periods.
- Support the overall organisation of the kitchen to facilitate smooth operational flow during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant or hotel environment is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques is beneficial.
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills with attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the kitchen environment.

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
