We're currently recruiting for Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent work in a well-established transport company.
Role Overview:
- Operating a Class 2 tipper vehicle to deliver and collect aggregates and materials from sites, quarries, and yards
- Carrying out route planning to ensure timely and efficient deliveries and collections
- Planning routes and managing journeys safely and efficiently
- Carrying out daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks and completing all necessary paperwork
- Ensuring all loads are secured and transported safely
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Providing excellent customer service at all delivery and collection points
- Maintaining a professional and reliable approach at all times
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 tipper truck, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, unload, and deliver materials to designated locations accurately and on time
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with legal standards
- Manage tipping operations efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials and equipment
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Follow all health and safety procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a secure work environment
Qualifiations
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence
- Up-to-date CPC and Digi Tachograph Card
- Previous tipper experience preferred but not essential – training can be provided
- Good knowledge of vehicle safety and daily checks
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
