Floss and Smile is a 100% private general dental practice started in 2004. Located by the Dunstable downs and Whipsnade zoo, it caters for 4 surrounding villages, Leighton Buzzard and Dunstable.
We are a modern, fully digitalised practice . CBCT scanner/ Intra oral scanners / Digital xrays with AI diagnostics/ intra oral cameras/ DSLR camera/ state of the art materials and TV on ceilings
Our team loves dentistry and we are a bunch of quality conscious professionals focused on prevention. Generally lovely patients who listen to our advice and who choose private dentistry because they care for their oral health.
Our team : 2 full time dentists / 6 part time dentists / 3 full time nurses /1 part time nurse/2 front of house/ 1 part time compliance assistant

Our practice provides general family dentistry and a large number of smile makeover cases including aligners, veneers and dental implants.
We are known for treating patients gently.
· The patient appointment is relaxed - The focus is on patient care and quality.
· Our dentists will see on average 6-10 patients a day. The days are busy but calm.
We are looking for 3 dental nurses to join our team:
1 trainee nurse
1 dental nurse with minimum 2 years experience in general dentistry
1 dental nurse with minimum 2 years experience in implant dentistry
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse - in a private practice setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong patient care skills with a caring and professional attitude
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environmentThis role is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional dental care, eager to work within a supportive team, and committed to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent language skills in English, both verbal and written
- A person who is positive and shows enthusiasm and passion for dentistry
- Advantage if you are social media savvy
- Someone who loves to educate patients and would be comfortable using modern tools such as the intra oral camera / intra oral scanners ( training would be provided)
- Would be beneficial if you have a certificate in radiography
- Would be beneficial if you are comfortable in impression taking for whitening trays / night guards / Fluoride varnish
- Someone with attention to detail
- Someone who is quality conscious
- Someone who is reliable and punctual
- Someone who has patience and empathy.
- You must have a car/driving licence as public transport in the area is unreliable
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and practice management software
- Knowledge of current infection control standards and health & safety regulations
- Relevant nursing qualification recognised within the UK (e.g., NEBDN or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates
Hours of work are preferably 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
One Saturday a month is required ( 9am - 4pm)
Salary depends on experience:£13- 16 /hour
Start in July/Aug/Sept
