We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various commercial premises. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, retail outlets, and industrial sites, using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
- Ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Follow specified cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency across all sites.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other consumables as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards identified during cleaning activities to management promptly.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct oneself courteously when interacting with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential to ensure thorough cleaning standards are met.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
