We are looking for Care Assistants to help support our private clients in the community in and around Hereford.
What you'll need
- The right to live and work in the UK.
- A valid driving licence and your own car.
- Available for at least 16 hours per week, including alternate weekends.
- No care experience required — full paid training provided.
About the role
A typical visit might involve:
- Help with shopping or household tasks
- Support with medication or a medical condition
- Personal care, where needed
- Companionship for clients who'd simply value some company
As a Care Assistant with the Visiting Care Team, you will be visiting our clients in their homes – this is likely to be with different clients for an hour or so at a time, or one client for most of the day. Some people will need help doing the shopping or keeping the house in order, others need support with medication or a medical condition, and many people may simply want some company during lonely days. No care experience is required (although it does help!) – we will offer you the training you need to feel confident in your role.
We ask that our carers are available for at least 16 hours per week and that they are able to offer alternate weekend availability. Carers are able to pick up extra visits at their convenience through their online carer portal. All visits are generally a minimum of 1 hour, so you're never rushing in and out.
Some of our roles involve providing intimate personal care. In certain cases, and only where it is necessary to protect a client’s dignity, privacy or wellbeing, a requirement for a carer of a specific sex may apply.
Where this is the case, it will be treated as a genuine occupational requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010 and applied on a case-by-case basis.

Pay & benefits

- Pay starting at £15.12 an hour, rising to £23.52 on bank holidays
- 40p mileage allowance (including travel between client visits)
- 28 days holiday pro rata

How will you be introduced to Kemble at Home and our clients?
Before you begin lone working in the community, we will make sure you are thoroughly trained. You will receive 5 days of fully paid and certificated training, during which you will be fully equipped with the skills and knowledge you need to safely carry out your role.
As well as this, we will aim to shadow you into all of your regular clients with the client's PA or a regular carer. Within your shadow visits you will be able to introduce yourself and have the opportunity to observe the client's routine and familiarise yourself with their home.
