We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Senior Site Manager to join a leading main contractor on a £50m Build to Rent development in Birmingham.
This is a large-scale residential scheme offering a strong duration of work for the right individual. The successful candidate will form a key part of the site management team and take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of works on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors and trades on site
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards
- Managing specific packages from commencement through to completion
- Monitoring progress against the construction programme
- Conducting site inspections and maintaining high standards of quality
- Ensuring health & safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Attending progress and coordination meetings
- Identifying and resolving site issues to prevent delays
- Working closely with the Project Manager, commercial team and wider site team
- Managing snagging and ensuring works are completed to the required standard
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Senior Site Manager for a main contractor
- Strong background delivering large-scale residential, apartment or Build to Rent schemes
- Experience managing multiple subcontractor packages
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong understanding of construction programmes, quality and health & safety
- SMSTS
- CSCS
- First Aid
