The Role
We’re looking for a General Bakery Assistant to join the Rise Exmouth team during weekends and holiday periods. This is a hands‑on role supporting the retail counter, coffee service, and day‑to‑day shop routines. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying busy, and being part of a warm, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer service — greet customers, serve at the counter, and keep the atmosphere friendly and welcoming
- Coffee service — support the barista team; barista experience is desirable but not essential
- Product presentation — help maintain tidy, attractive bakery displays
- General shop support — assist with restocking, cleaning, and keeping the shop running smoothly
- Food hygiene — follow safe handling and cleanliness practices
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, positive attitude and confidence working with customers
- Barista experience desirable, but full training can be provided
- Reliable and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Happy to work as part of a small, supportive team
- Must be available weekends and holiday periods
- 1–2 days per week, usually Saturday and/or Sunday
- 9–18 hours per week, depending on availability
