Auto Focus Ltd is looking for an experienced Vehicle Prepper & Paint Technician to join our growing accident repair bodyshop in Milton Keynes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled prepper and painter who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and is looking for a stable, full-time role with excellent earning potential.
The Role
As a Vehicle Prepper & Paint Technician, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for paint and carrying out high-quality paint refinishing to manufacturer standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing vehicles for paint, including sanding, filling, priming, masking, flatting and polishing.
- Mixing and colour matching paint accurately.
- Applying primer, basecoat and clearcoat to a high standard.
- Polishing and finishing painted panels to ensure a flawless finish.
- Inspecting completed work before vehicles move to the next stage.
- Identifying and reporting any defects or additional vehicle damage to the Bodyshop Manager.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Working efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality.
- Following manufacturer repair methods and Health & Safety procedures.

Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in vehicle preparation and paint spraying within an accident repair bodyshop.
- Previous accident repair/bodyshop experience is essential.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Own tools preferred.
