Your Role
The Reliability Lead Engineer is responsible for implementing and guiding efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment and processes that could adversely affect plant operations. The individual will utilise analysis methods for determining reliability of systems, assets and components as well as support and drive reliability program strategies and elements in the plant while following administrative procedures to ensure that the work is performed in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner.
Hours: 35 per week on days (Mon to Thur 08.45 am – 5.00 pm/Fridays 08.45 am - 12.45 pm/3.30pm)
Salary £40,000.00 - £45,000.00
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures all assigned activities are being performed safely and according to plant and corporate safety standards and policies.
- Responsible and/ or supports the development, coordination, and administration of the overall reliability elements of Asset Health Assurance, Criticality Analysis, Equipment Hierarchy, RCA, Component Reliability, Predictive and Preventive maintenance procedures, Equipment Maintenance Plan support and development, Reliability Centered Design and FMEA, tech support of daily maintenance effort, technical training, parts standardisation, stores management, bill of materials, operational reliability, and reliability centered lubrication.
- Develops a high proficiency while working within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)/ and utilises its functionality to correlate the data for reliability analysis.
- Reviews equipment failures, downtime reports, FTE technology findings, and reoccurring problems and equipment histories to uncover reoccurring maintenance problems and develop action plans to minimise impact on equipment reliability.
- Gathers and examines basic reliability data from field studies or database and correlates the data for analysis using well defined engineering techniques/ principles/ procedures.
- Leads and facilitates the RCA effort as part of a proactive strategy.
- Works closely with corporate reliability engineers to coordinate the development of engineering solutions to repetitive equipment failures and other maintenance problems to reduce the need for maintenance while improving costs and reliability.
- Champions the sharing of best practices, root cause solutions and procedural changes internally as well as with corporate and other plants while ensuring the implementation of transferred best practices in an effort to maintain standardisation and improve equipment performance.
About you
Preferred Skill & Experience
- Experience in continuous improvement process, BB/GB certified.
Essential Skill & Experience
- Thorough technical knowledge and experience in the field of industrial maintenance and reliability fundamentals.
- Experience within the engineering/ maintenance field, experience will be taken into consideration in lieu of the educational preference.
Qualifications
- HND in engineering or related discipline.
