Night Residential Support Worker

Are you someone who can bring calm, consistency, and reassurance when it matters most?
We are looking for a dedicated Night Residential Support Worker to join our established and supportive team, providing care to young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
Night work in residential childcare is not just supervision. It is about creating safety, stability, and trust during the most vulnerable hours. You will play a key role in ensuring our young people feel secure, supported, and cared for throughout the night.
This is a waking night role, working a 3 on / 3 off pattern, offering structure, consistency, and a strong work life balance. Shifts are 22:00 - 08:00.
What you will be doing
- Creating a safe, calm, and nurturing environment overnight
- Completing regular welfare checks in line with care plans and risk assessments
- Responding confidently and appropriately to incidents or emerging needs
- Supporting emotional regulation and promoting a sense of security
- Maintaining clear, accurate records and handovers
- Working in line with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and safeguarding standards
- Communicating effectively with the wider team to ensure continuity of care
What we are looking for
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Experienced in residential childcare, supported living, or a similar care setting
- Confident working independently and making sound decisions overnight
- Calm, resilient, and emotionally intelligent
- Strong in safeguarding awareness and professional boundaries
- Able to communicate clearly, both written and verbally
- A driver (essential)
Qualifications are welcomed but not essential. What matters most is your approach, values, and commitment to supporting young people.

Pay: £23,660.00-£25,025.00 per year
