Hours: 28 hours per week over 4 days
Location: Further opportunities to discuss working arrangements, for example hybrid/home working will be offered. The role will be based in our Edinburgh office.
We are looking for a Research Officer to work as part of the Research & Knowledge Team on conducting and commissioning research and working with external suppliers.
This postholder will work closely with the Head of Knowledge & Research, cultural organisations, local authorities and other key stakeholders to deliver the ambitions of our research plan and corporate priorities. You will provide informed advice, insight and guidance, and be alert to the emerging issues and research needs of colleagues and external partners. You will be responsible for maintaining key databases, resources and help to effectively brief and disseminate relevant information internally and externally.

Our ideal candidate will have:
An understanding of social research methodologies and reporting in a complex environment
Proven experience of designing and managing projects, including commissioning and working with external suppliers
An up-to-date knowledge of current policy and research agendas relating to the arts and creative economy
Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesize and interpret large volume data sets
Strong project management skills
An ability to develop and establish effective relationships with multiple stakeholders, along with a commitment to our core values.
