We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify faults using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on motor vehicles, including engine work, brake systems, suspension, and electrical components.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks efficiently.
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to diagnose issues accurately.
- Carry out welding and other fabrication tasks as required for vehicle repair or modification.
- Assist in the replacement or repair of vehicle parts, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Perform heavy lifting when handling vehicle components or equipment safely.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle serviced.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and answering client queries professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance or a related mechanical field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised repair tools.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Physical strength to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Valid driving licence is desirable but not essential; however, the ability to operate company vehicles may be required for certain tasks.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
