Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated local Part-time Caregiver to provide high-quality support to individuals their own homes. This is a part time role for 16 hours a week although the possibility to increase your contract is also an option.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Prior experience in care environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients in accordance with personalised care plans to ensure their wellbeing and comfort
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a friendly and respectful environment
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Assist with light household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Skills
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable
- Knowledge of developing or following care plans tailored to individual needs
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and convey information clearly
- Organisation skills to manage daily routines efficiently and prioritise tasks effectively
This role is ideal for caring individuals seeking part-time work who are committed to delivering compassionate support while maintaining flexibility in their schedule. The hours will include one shift on alternate weekends and one evening a week. We offer excellent rates of pay and 55p per mile.
