Summary
We are seeking a Part Time Sales Ledger Clerk and Credit Controller to join our team. This role is vital in managing our credit processes and ensuring smooth financial operations, supporting our mission to deliver outstanding logistics services efficiently. Initially the role will be 10-12 hours per week on Tuesday and Fridays. The successful candidate will be expected to provide some additional holiday and sickness cover for the accounts department.
Responsibilities
- Weekly Sales Invoice reconciliation and processing
- Manage credit accounts and monitor outstanding payments to ensure timely collections
- Maintain accurate records of credit transactions using accounting software
- Liaise with customers regarding overdue payments and resolve any discrepancies
- Collaborate with the commercial director to reconcile accounts and prepare reports
- Assist in the development of credit policies to mitigate financial risks
- Support month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations
- Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software - Sage preferred
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and internal team members
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of financial regulations relevant to the transport industry is a plus
- Previous experience in a logistics or transportation company is advantageous
