Rebound Care and Support are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Spinal Injury Support Workers to provide specialised care and assistance to our client who has got spinal injury. Our client suffered a spinal injury, staff will need to have experience in moving and handling, bowel care and catheter care. Staff will need to be comfortable to participate in therapy sessions.
This role involves supporting client in his routine, ensuring his safety, comfort, and well-being. Focusing on rehabilitation, structure, emotional well-being, and promoting independence.
The role will focus on providing personalised support to enhance our client’s independence, supporting with rehab structure, well- being (supporting in evening routine, throughout the night and personal care routine in the morning). Our client will have WAV – therefore, a full UK driving licence is essential.
Our client has got friendly dog and a cat.
Hours:
Monday to Sunday - 8:00-20:00.
Pay:
Monday to Friday - £204.00,
Saturday - £222.00,
Sunday - £ 240.00.
Responsibilities
- Following personalised support plans and risk assessments,
- Assist individuals in accessing community to improve their quality of life,
- Support individuals in setting and achieving their personal goals,
- Provide guidance and support to the client, ensuring best practices and a person-centred approach,
- Assist service users attend health activities,
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all support provided, maintaining professional and respectful documentation,
- Assisting with personal and bowel care,
- Assisting with moving and handling,
- Supporting with household duties such as cooking, laundry, changing bed linen, and general tidying.
Experience
- We are looking for supportive, patient and committed team members to provide the care during the day.
- The Ideal candidates will need to have experience in working with SI clients, attention to detail and have a can-do attitude.
Training & Background Checks
An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
