Commercial Sales Manager – Media, Digital & Events
We are looking for a commercially driven Commercial Sales Manager to play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth across CLASS, the UK's leading premium bar industry media brand, and its associated events.
This is a hands on media sales role covering digital advertising, event sponsorship, commercial partnerships and printed magazines. You'll work closely with drinks brands, agencies and distributors to create effective campaigns and commercial opportunities that engage with the UK's most influential bartenders, bar owners and drinks professionals.
Success in the role will come from building strong industry relationships, identifying new opportunities and delivering commercial growth across the CLASS portfolio.
You’ll be comfortable representing CLASS at industry events, awards, launches and trade shows, developing a network of contacts across the UK's vibrant bar and drinks industry. Whether securing new business, creating innovative commercial campaigns or growing long-term client relationships, you will play an important role in supporting the continued success of both CLASS and Agile Media.

- Lead all commercial sales activity for CLASS, taking ownership of revenue generation across digital advertising, sponsored content, event sponsorship, awards partnerships, bespoke commercial campaigns and print advertising.
- Develop creative, integrated proposals tailored to client objectives, demonstrating clear value and measurable return on investment.
- Develop new business opportunities while growing revenue from existing clients through strong account management and relationship building.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with drinks producers, importers and distributors, agencies and PR companies.
- Work closely with editorial and events teams to create innovative commercial opportunities that align with the bartender audience and client needs.
- Work with clients to review campaign performance and demonstrate the value delivered through CLASS's media and event platforms.
- Represent CLASS at industry events, awards ceremonies, trade shows, launches and networking functions, particularly within the London bar scene and wider UK drinks industry.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities across the drinks, bar and hospitality sectors.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
- Experience in media sales, sponsorship, events, hospitality, drinks or a similar commercial role.
- A natural ability to build relationships, develop trust, identify opportunities with drinks clients, partners and bar industry contacts.
- Confidence in presenting ideas, pitching opportunities and negotiating commercial agreements.
- A proactive approach to generating new business while delivering excellent service to existing clients.
- Comfortable working across a range of commercial opportunities, from digital advertising and sponsorship packages to bespoke campaigns and print advertising.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously.
- Commercially minded, self-motivated and driven to achieve ambitious revenue targets.
- A genuine interest in the drinks, bar and hospitality sectors.
- Existing contacts within the UK drinks, bar or hospitality sectors would be advantageous but are not essential.
- Experience reviewing campaign results and demonstrating value to clients would be beneficial.
- Willingness to attend industry events, awards, trade shows and client meetings in London and across the UK, building relationships and representing the CLASS brand.
