We are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join our Production Unit in Park Royal. In this role, you will assist the smooth running of Central Production Unit so that it can efficiently provide quality & portion-controlled items to meet the needs of all branches.
Manages pick orders from Despatch Admin and management and physically pulls inventory from the shelves to ensure accurate delivery of warehouse products. Also packs orders, including shrink wrapping contents onto pallets, and loads them on trucks for delivery while ensuring orders are accurate and records of inventory are kept up to date for a smooth flow in Warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for pick/pack and distribution of all orders for both Wasabi Branches and Groceries accurately.
- Manages pick ticket orders
- Pulls MFG & BIFG items from the allocated location based on, size, colour, quantity, and quality requirements
- Stages items correctly for delivery
- Operates handling powered equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed
- Plans and monitors product storage and dispatch
- Oversees stock replenishment
- Ensures Despatch goals are met
- Maintains a high level of health and safety standards
- Shrink wraps products and apply all relevant identification labels to pallets as required.
- Loads delivery vehicles
- Performs other general Warehouse/Despatch duties as needed
- Ensuring all Food Safety Practices are followed.
- Work efficiently within a chilled environment with temperatures ranging from 0 to 4 degrees Celsius
- Monitor, record, and report the temperature as well as shelf life of goods to ensure quality & traceability control
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to uphold hygiene and efficiency (CAYG)
- Implement the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method while picking and organizing items
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure personal and team well-being
- Display flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime when required
- Ensure stock rotation of all the WIP products.
- Ensure minimal wastage while storing and stacking.
- Ensure has a good knowledge before handing any equipment.
- Ensure always have right PPE at all the time while at work
- Able to listen, observe and contribute to discussions as required for the job.
- Ensure all areas are clean and hygienic following company cleaning procedures.
- Receiving and Storing product away in designated storage areas; adjusting storage areas per requirement
Our Requirements:
- Previous experience working with BRC compliance
- Demonstrate physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry items throughout the shift
- Prepare product for deliveries, picking orders, packing and resolving any dispatch problems.
- Understands and able to apply health and Safety procedures relevant to the job such as:
- Manual handling
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment, inventory, goods in, stock control and picking for orders.
- Ability to work in a team or individually
- ‘Can do’, hands-on and proactive attitude
- Good time keeping skills
- Good numeracy and communication skills with a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Flexible to work various hours on shift rota basis, including weekends and evenings
