The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Business Development Assistant with a technical edge to support our growing sales function. This role blends customer engagement, technical expertise, and commercial awareness, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships while solving real-world technical challenges.
You’ll act as a key link between customers, sales, and technical teams—helping drive business growth by ensuring customers receive expert guidance, seamless support, and confidence in our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the sales team by providing technical advice that drives customer confidence and conversion
- Deliver post-sales technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems
- Troubleshoot lighting, control systems, and related equipment
- Assist with product testing, diagnostics, and fault resolution
- Build strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities for repeat business and upselling
- Maintain accurate service records and CRM updates
- Contribute to product guides, FAQs, and technical resources
- Support product demos, training sessions, and trade events
- Assist with returns (RMA) and product evaluations
- Provide insights to internal teams on customer needs and product improvements
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in technical support and sales support
- A proactive mindset with an interest in business growth and customer development
- Excellent communication skills — able to simplify technical concepts
- Problem-solving ability with a methodical approach
- Confident, personable, and customer-focused
- Comfortable working independently and within a team
- Good IT skills (MS Office, CRM systems)
Desirable
- Experience with brands like ADJ, eLumen8, Equinox, or similar
- Background in live events, theatre, or AV integration
- Knowledge of Art-Net, sACN, or wireless DMX
- Basic electronics/repair skills
