Housekeeper/Facilities - 25hours a week - Term time only
The Royal School for the Blind Charity, Liverpool runs both a School and Post 19 provision.
The Charity now provides a new facility for pupil life skill development through therapies – (Bradbury House) which will open this September. The Charity requires a Housekeeper to clean Bradbury House daily, and carry out various health and safety checks and light maintenance duties to ensure a healthy and safe environment for the building’s users.

This facilities position is for 25 hours per week during school term-time, plus 2 weeks (one week during the summer holidays and one week during the February half-term).
The role will primarily comprise cleaning duties with additional tasks as below to ensure that the building remains a safe environment for its users.
- Daily cleaning duties
- Deep cleaning duties during the two weeks of school holidays
- Either opening or closing the building depending on agreed shift pattern
- Daily checks for safety and security
- Daily jacuzzi therapy maintenance (training provided)
- Weekly checks - Legionella, emergency lighting and fire alarm
- Monthly - shower head descaling
- Small repairs and maintenance – e.g changing light bulbs, fixing handles and toilet seats etc.
- Dealing with small amounts of deliveries
- Ensuring supplies of cleaning products are topped off as needed
