Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure they receive attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, providing recommendations and upselling where appropriate
- Supervise front-of-house staff to maintain high standards of service and efficiency
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation
- Monitor dining areas for cleanliness, organisation, and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints, or special requests professionally and promptly
- Assist with training new team members to uphold service standards
- Manage reservations and optimise table utilisation for maximum efficiency
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper handling of food and beverages
- Support in maintaining stock levels and placing orders as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings, with a strong understanding of guest services
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and food preparation practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to supervise staff, motivate team members, and lead by example
- Basic maths skills for handling bills, payments, and cash handling procedures
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales potential
- Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour at all times
Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
