Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Trade Counter Person / Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Trade Counter Person and Driver, you will play a key part in our day-to-day operations. Your role will combine Serving on the trade counter, hands on warehouse duties with safe, efficient driving and excellent customer service. You will ensure that items are stored, handled and delivered in a safe, confident and professional manor. You will report to the General Manager for daily operations.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles for delivery purposes.
- Warehouse organisation and inventory management.
- Stock replenishment, including stock ordering and goods in.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and stored securely
- Deliver and collect items to customers in a professional, timely, and courteous manner.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers during daily interactions
- Serving on the trade counter and answering telephone calls.
- Maintain a safe, clean, well-organised warehouse environment at all times.
- Complete all company paperwork accurately, including pick lists and delivery documentation.
- Maintain safe and clean delivery vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during warehouse activities and deliveries
- Support other areas of the business as required.
Requirements
- Experience as a Trade counter person and delivery driver preferred but not essential.
- Full UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points is essential.
- Plumbing knowledge is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, handling goods safely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- A reliable team player with a strong work ethic, able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers
- Good physical fitness to manage manual handling tasks and periods of driving or standing.
Pay: £13.50 per hour
