Job Summary
Renlon Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Waterproofing Renderer/Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying waterproof rendering systems and protective coatings to residential, commercial, and industrial properties, ensuring high-quality finishes and long-lasting weather protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for waterproof rendering, including cleaning, repairing, and priming substrates.
- Apply waterproof render systems, cementitious coatings, tanking systems, and associated products in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Install mesh reinforcement, render beads, and other components required for rendering systems.
- Mix and apply render materials using hand and machine application techniques.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client expectations.
- Identify and report defects, moisture issues, or substrate problems before application.
- Work safely and comply with all health and safety regulations on-site.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working order.
- Collaborate effectively with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades.
- Complete projects within agreed timescales while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Skills and ExperienceEssential
- Previous experience in waterproof rendering, external wall insulation or specialist rendering systems.
- Strong knowledge of waterproofing products and application methods.
- Ability to read and follow technical specifications and drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plastering, Rendering, or a related trade.
- Experience with liquid waterproofing membranes and tanking systems.
