Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate local TEFL teacher / Tutor to provide educational support to Chinese adults of various ages and learning abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults, Chinese students. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic goals and build their confidence in their abilities.
Working hours is 3 hours per day, 5 days a week. 10AM-12PM, 1 hour lunch break, 1PM-2PM
The job starts in 5th Oct 2026. Fixed for 1 week and depending on the work, there could be more in the future.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised tutoring sessions tailored to a group of Chinese doctors
- Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses to develop effective learning strategies.
- Create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational objectives.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in subjects relevant to day to day communication, the general medical sector
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple students and lesson plans efficiently.
- A genuine passion for educating foreign students and helping them succeed in social and medical settings
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
