Reports To: Operations Manager
Job Purpose:
They will be a result’s driven individual who strives to continually improve the performance of the production teams whilst adopting a safety-first culture. Emphasis needs to be on building a team that takes pride in producing a quality product that is delivered to site to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Having responsibility for all operational activity it is essential that the Production Manager is a strong communicator and has experience on man management.
Key Accountabilities:

Promotes and manages a health and safety culture across site. Ensuring all activities on site comply with H&S regulations and guidelines. Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to.

Ensure all production plans are adhered to, and product is made on time to meet customer delivery expectations

Ensure all products made are to the correct quality specifications developing a culture of quality first
-
Manage manning levels within the operations team to ensure maximum efficiency across all sites
-
Maintains a high level of employee motivation by working closely with all employees to develop a highly communicative team where employees are made fully aware of business performance and activities. Also ensure any issues or problems either personal or work related are supported and resolved.

Ensure material stocks are managed and used effectively. Ensure weekly stock takes are accurate

Manage the company absence and holiday processes to ensure policies are fully adhered to.

Create and present reports detailing site performance to all team members across all levels of the business structure

Maintain Manufacturing compliance to standards including a clean, safe environment for all employees

Support the operations manager in driving continuous improvement projects into the business

Ensure all employees in your team are trained correctly and are fully aware of their tasks and responsibilities

Drive KPI’s into production using them to identify and improve production trends.
Key Experiences:
-
Proven experience as Leader/Manager or relevant role leading a team focussed on manual processes
-
Familiarity with company policies, legal guidelines, and Health & Safety regulations
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Good knowledge of IT systems
-
Strong background in Lean and continuous improvement
-
Proven experience of driving through successful improvement and change management projects
-
Proven experience of root cause analysis and putting permanent fixes in place
-
Ability to interpret and understand KPI’s and data
Desirables Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:

ILM level 3 in Leadership and Management
-
COSHH and risk assessment trained
