Head Cook - Care Home

We are looking for a friendly and experienced Head Cook to join our team within our elderly residential care home.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced chef or confident home cook who is passionate about preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for our wonderful residents.
We mainly serve traditional British food and have established recipes for many of our dishes. The working environment is calmer than a traditional restaurant kitchen, which many of our cooks prefer. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has a genuine passion for providing delicious, well-presented meals.
As Head Cook, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the kitchen, preparing menus, managing food supplies and ensuring all dietary requirements, food hygiene standards and kitchen documentation are followed.
Full training will be provided, and you will be joining a friendly and welcoming team.
Working Pattern
Week One:
Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
8:00am–2:00pm
Week Two:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
8:00am–2:00pm
Requirements
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience
- An understanding of food hygiene and dietary requirements
- The ability to organise and oversee the kitchen
- A successful DBS check
- Some flexibility to work overtime when required
