We are recruiting two part time Catering Assistant roles:
- 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM General Catering Assistant role on our Upper School Site (N10 2EG) 20 hrs
- 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM Tea Time Catering Assistant role on our Lower School Site (N10 3LS) 10 hrs
We are open to the same person applying to undertake both jobs, if they are interested in working 30hrs per week, or would be happy to appoint different people to each role. There is also potential to extend the morning position to 25 hrs per week with a 9:00 AM start.
Work Pattern: Weekdays, 40 weeks per year

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Catering Assistants to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will work closely with the Chef Manager to deliver delicious, nutritious meals for the children while maintaining exceptional standards of kitchen hygiene and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparation & Service
- School Lunches/Dinners: Help prepare and assemble wholesome meals specifically tailored for children and engaging salads.
- Food Service: Support the team in serving meals accurately, safely, and efficiently, then help with clearing up afterwards.
2. Cleaning & Hygiene
- Kitchen Clean-Down: Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout your shift and conduct a thorough kitchen clean-down before shift end.
- Food Safety: Adhere strictly to food hygiene regulations, handling practices, and cleaning protocols to ensure a safe environment.

Personal Specification Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or food prep environment
- Experience working within early years or a school setting is advantageous
Basic understanding of principles of Food Hygiene and Safety Standards
- Training will be provided and you must be willing to undertake assessments and achieve relevant qualifications in Food Hygiene and Safety
