Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a professional kitchen environment, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to specified recipes and standards
- Assist with meal planning and portion control to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure all food is stored correctly, adhering to hygiene standards
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during food preparation and service
- Assist in the setup and close of the kitchen before and after shifts
- Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is desirable but not essential
- Flexibility to adapt to different tasks within the kitchen as needed
- As we’re in a tourism setting, must be prepared to work weekends including bank holiday weekends
- Some split shifts and preparing breakfast for accommodation guests some days will be required
