Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
Skills
- Experience in senior care or home care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.
- Previous experience in hospice care is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic cooking skills for meal preparation are required.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties.
- Will need to have a PVG - if successful, the company will apply for one
Experience:
- Care home: 3 years (required)
- Home care: 3 years (required)
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
