About the Role
We are seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for day and night shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotating pattern. This position involves container transport with work consisting primarily of local drop-and-swap operations. No handballing or manual unloading required.
Pay Structure
Day Shift Rate: £195.00 per shift
Night Shift / Weekend Rate: Up to £235.00 per shift
Weekly Pay with accrued holiday pay and company pension scheme
Key Responsibilities
Transport container loads safely and efficiently across local routes.
Perform straight drop-and-swap container operations at customer sites and intermodal hubs.
Conduct essential daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects immediately.
Ensure full compliance with EU Drivers’ Hours, WTD rules, and tachograph regulations.
Maintain clear communication with the transport office throughout your shift.
Requirements
License: Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driver's License.
Cards: Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of demonstrable Class 1 driving experience (container experience strongly preferred).
Skills: Proficient with container locking mechanisms, sliding skeletal trailers, and port/rail hub procedures.
Clean Record: Maximum of 6 penalty points for minor offenses (No DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements).
