Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Spray Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles, ensuring a professional and durable result. Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Mix paints and colours accurately according to specifications.
- Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns and other painting equipment.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
- Conduct quality checks on painted surfaces, ensuring smooth, even coverage without defects.
- Perform minor repairs or touch-ups as required to meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the movement of vehicles within the workshop, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in vehicle spray painting or automotive refinishing.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle surfaces and painting equipment.
- Proficiency in handling hand tools and power tools used in automotive painting processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when manoeuvring vehicles or materials.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finish quality.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to spray painting environments.
