JOB SUMMARY
- The Manager, Commercial Performance – Franchise, EMEA plays a key role in supporting Marriott's rapidly growing franchise community across EMEA, including Franchise Management Companies (FMCs) and Midscale portfolios, through scalable commercial support, insight-led reporting and targeted performance interventions.
- Working within the Commercial Performance – Franchise team, this role helps position the team as a central point of coordination for franchise commercial engagement, ensuring stakeholders have visibility into key franchise priorities, upcoming activities, commercial opportunities and support requirements.
- Working closely with Analytics, Commercial Disciplines, Operations, Owner & Partner Relations, SDCs and Field Teams, the role helps create greater alignment, transparency and collaboration across franchise support activities, ensuring commercial opportunities, actions and outcomes are effectively communicated and tracked.
- Reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Performance – Franchise, EMEA, the role helps drive prioritization, accountability and execution across commercial programmes, stakeholder engagement, reporting and franchise performance initiatives.
Scope
- The Manager, Commercial Performance – Franchise is responsible for supporting all Marriott International brands operating across EMEA
- Travel: Infrequent travel required, expected to be less than 20%.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain visibility of upcoming FMC, owner and franchise engagements, ensuring stakeholders understand objectives, priorities and required support.
- Coordinate follow-up actions and close the loop on key discussions, ensuring clear ownership, accountability and communication of outcomes.
- Develop and maintain franchise commercial intelligence, engagement trackers and shared knowledge repositories.
- Support the expansion of proactive engagement across Multi-Regional FMCs and Regional FMCs representing $1M+ in fees and 3+ hotels.
Cross Functional alignment
- Act as a connector across Commercial Disciplines, OPR, SDCs, Field Teams and Operations to improve coordination and reduce duplication of effort.
- Support the development and refinement of franchise operating models, governance frameworks and stakeholder swim lanes.
- Create greater visibility of franchise commercial priorities, escalations and opportunities across the wider organization.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
- Commercial experience within hospitality is required, ideally with 3–5 years of dedicated experience in commercial roles or a closely related professional area.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Proven ability to operate across complex stakeholder environments.
- Comfortable leading through influence, structure and collaboration rather than hierarchy.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business performance drivers.
- High proficiency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of, and proven experience using Microsoft Office and automation tools, including Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.
- Knowledge of Marriott lodging products, culture and brand strategies is preferred.
- Knowledge of Marriott commercial systems, programmes and processes is preferred.
- Proficient in creating visually engaging, well-structured presentation decks.
