teach195. is working in partnership with a range of welcoming and inclusive Secondary Schools across Stockport, supporting schools with both short-term daily cover and long-term opportunities to suit your availability, experience and career goals. We are currently seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors who are passionate about supporting young people and maintaining a positive learning environment within schools.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting schools by supervising classes during teacher absences. You will ensure students remain engaged with their learning, manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a calm, productive atmosphere throughout the school day.
Opportunities are available on both a flexible day-to-day basis and within longer-term placements, giving you the chance to work around your schedule while gaining valuable experience across a variety of school settings.
Responsibilities
- Supervise classes during teacher absences and ensure students remain on task
- Deliver pre-set lesson work and explain tasks clearly to pupils
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support students with their learning where required
- Promote a safe and positive learning environment
- Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
- Ensure excellent punctuality and professionalism throughout the school day

- Confident classroom presence with the ability to manage behaviour effectively
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working in different schools and subject areas
- Experience working with young people or within an educational setting is desirable
