Role Overview
As a General Builder, you will take ownership of construction, renovation and maintenance projects, delivering high-quality work on time and to specification. This role offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to a company committed to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Site preparation & planning
- Structural work: bricklaying, carpentry, plastering, roofing, and general construction tasks
- Renovation & repair: carrying out maintenance, refurbishments and remedial works
- Finishing works: painting, decorating and fitting fixtures to complete projects
- Compliance & safety: ensuring all work meets building regulations, safety standards and quality expectations
- Project management: supervising labour where required and maintaining timelines
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in bricklaying
- Carpentry, plastering, roofing, painting and general construction tasks beneficial
- Ability to read and follow site drawings, measurements, levels and specification
- Strong understanding of building regulations and safety standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
· Full UK driving licence required
· Approx. 5yrs experience in a similar role
