Alban Cleaning Services Ltd is looking for an experienced, hands-on Cleaning Manager to oversee a team of 5 cleaners at a private school.
This is an on-site, evening role, ideal for an existing Cleaning Supervisor or Team Leader who is used to maintaining high standards and working in structured environments such as schools or commercial sites.
Location: Markyate School (on-site)
Hours: 25 hours per week, term time only
Working hours: 4.30pm – 9.30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £14 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Additional hours: Paid deep-cleaning work during school holidays
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out daily cleaning duties in your own area
- Supervise and support a team of cleaning operatives
- Check standards across the site and address issues promptly
- Train and support new starters
- Act as the on-site point of contact for the client
- Organise cover for sickness and holidays
- Keep basic records of staff hours and issues
About you:
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience
- Comfortable being hands-on with cleaning as well as managing
- Reliable, organised and confident communicating with staff and clients
- Experience in a school or education setting is desirable but not essential
