Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. Previous experience in restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This paid position is suitable for those eager to develop their career within the hospitality sector.
Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and beverages to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the till system
- Restock bar supplies and ensure all stock levels are maintained throughout shifts
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards diligently
- Assist with basic food preparation when required, including garnishing drinks or preparing simple snacks
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
- Manage customers queries or complaints courteously, ensuring a positive experience
- Support team members during busy periods
Skills
- Previous experience in restaurant service, or similar roles is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Experience with serving or bartending is desirable but training will be provided for all necessary procedures
- Ability to work efficiently within a team and independently when required
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
