DegreeSix are a specialist SEND agency who work with many schools across Leicester to support pupils with their learning and development. The schools we work with are both mainstream and SEND across early years, primary and secondary.
We’re currently recruiting for several exciting positions to start in September for the new academic year such as SEN Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor and Learning Mentors.
Most of our roles are full-time and long-term, however we do support with day-to-day cover and shorter term roles meaning we cater for all schedules. Even with the day-to-day roles, you'll always be based as a maximum of two schools, to give you and the students consistency - you are then placed into schools based on your skillset and knowledge.
You will be working either 1:1 or within small groups to support pupils with varied needs such as Autism, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour, SEMH, Complex Needs and Learning Difficulties!
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one mentoring to children, focusing on their individual educational needs and personal development.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support positive interactions and emotional well-being.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment where children feel valued and encouraged to express themselves.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to discuss children's progress and areas for improvement.
