SEMH Teacher (ECTs welcomed)
A nurturing independent specialist school in Wythenshawe are looking for a qualified SEMH Teacher to teach PSHE within their close-knit setting.
This is a unique opportunity to join this well-established education group in supporting pupils with diverse needs. The school are looking for an SEMH Teacher with proven experience of working with SEND or SEMH pupils to teach PSHE, preferably within education. They provide a broad and balanced curriculum, to promote engagement and individual progression.
Job description:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons, to KS3/4 pupils with complex SEMH, ASC and other learning needs
- Lead their specialist PSHE curriculum
- Promoting independence and confidence through tailored, nurture-focused learning
- Working hours: 8:15am - 4pm
- Starting September
- Salary: £36,042
Person specification:
- QTS or QTLS (ECTs welcome and encouraged!)
- Experience of teaching, preferably within an SEN setting
- Experience of adapting teaching to various needs
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Adaptable, resilient and empathetic attitude
