The Learner Support Team are committed to ensuring the highest standards of support for our learning community and staff. We recognise that effective support for vulnerable learners removes barriers to learning and promotes an inclusive approach to achievement.
Working as part of the College’s Student Services team, alongside the Student Services Manager, the postholder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of outstanding welfare and financial support to ensure the improvement of student wellbeing and success rates. This includes working with internal and external specialist support providers to meet the needs of vulnerable learners, thereby maximising the impact for those “At Risk”.

Job Title: Welfare Officer
Salary: Job Family Group 5 from SCP 16 (£27,387) to SCP 20 (£29,052) per year (pro-rata for part-time), salary based on qualifications and experience. There will be opportunity for progression within this pay range.
Hours: 1.0 FTE, 37 hours per week
