Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented OFTEC & FGAS Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs and preparing quotations for heating, plumbing, and refrigeration projects that comply with OFTEC and FGAS standards. Your expertise will help ensure our projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for planned and reactive maintenance works, in line with SFG20 planned maintenance guidelines
- Price oil-fired heating and air conditioning/refrigeration works, including materials, labour, and subcontractor costs
- Review site survey information, drawings, and specifications to produce detailed and competitive pricing
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain quotations and clarify scope of works
- Update and maintain the CAFM system with accurate job and pricing information
- Work closely with helpdesk administrators and the operations team to ensure quotations align with client requirements and contract terms
- Identify opportunities for additional works and support the wider sales/estimating process
- Ensure all pricing reflects current OFTEC and F-Gas regulatory requirements and health & safety standards
- Track and manage the status of outstanding quotations, following up as required
- Produce accurate documentation and reports to support the estimating and bid process
- Support the project delivery team and handover won, quoted works to the Project Manager(s) for delivery
Skills & Experience Required
- OFTEC qualification or strong working knowledge of OFTEC-regulated systems (essential)
- FGAS qualification or strong working knowledge of F-Gas regulated systems (essential)
- Proven experience in an estimating role within commercial or industrial building services/maintenance
- Strong technical knowledge of oil-fired heating systems, Gas heating systems and associated M&E equipment
- Experience working to SFG20 planned maintenance guidelines
- Comfortable using a CAFM system for job and pricing management
- Sound understanding of health & safety legislation relevant to M&E works
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, internal project managers, engineers and subcontractors
- Well organised, able to manage multiple quotations and deadlines simultaneously
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent (desirable)

Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
