We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations in a dynamic hospitality environment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and food preparation personnel.
- Oversee food production processes to ensure timely delivery of dishes that meet quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and serving as needed to support team operations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times.
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative team culture.
- Liaise with restaurant management to coordinate menu planning and special event requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Previous management or supervising experience in a kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and organise a diverse team.
- Extensive culinary experience with knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Hospitality background with an understanding of customer service principles.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant or café.
- Barista experience is considered an advantage but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
