Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming while respecting their privacy and dignity
- Support residents with mobility, including helping them walk or transfer safely using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet each resident’s specific needs and preferences
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and update care plans regularly
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic support
- Support with medication administration as per training and regulatory guidelines
- Drive company vehicles when required to support home care visits or outings for residents
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with residents, families, and colleagues
- Good IT literacy for documenting care activities and updating electronic records efficiently
- Valid driving license to facilitate transportation needs for home care or outings
- Experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and adapt to changing resident needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to healthcare environments
