I’m looking for a friendly, confident and enthusiastic person aged 18–24 to join me at Sunny Cloud Childminding as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice, starting this September. ☀
Based in CV7 8LH
8am–5pm
All-year-round setting
Initially 2–3 days per week
Possibility of more days/full-time from January as the setting grows
Pay & progression-
The position will initially be paid at the applicable apprentice wage.
There will be a probation period, and if everything is going well and I’m happy with your progress, reliability and commitment, I’m very happy to review and increase your hourly wage. I believe good work and progress should be recognised, so there will be opportunities for your pay to increase as you develop within the role.
Who am I looking for?
Someone who is:
18–24 years old
Confident, friendly and approachable
Creative and genuinely enjoys working with children
Reliable, responsible and willing to learn
Has a good level of spoken and written English
Confident communicating with parents
Able to learn how to write children’s observations and contribute to their development
Happy to work as part of a small, friendly home-based childcare setting
Level 3 Apprenticeship & Training
You will be working towards your Level 3 Early Years qualification while gaining practical experience.
I will pay for additional training required within my setting, including:
Safeguarding
EYFS training
Food Hygiene
Other relevant courses and development opportunities

Before applying, please be aware that there are some requirements that you will need to pay for yourself:
- Enhanced DBS check + DBS Update Service Paediatric First Aid course Registration with Suffolk Childcare Agency (SCA) – currently a £50 one-off fee Health declaration/medical form completed through your GP – GP surgeries may charge for completing this, so please check the cost with your GP beforehand.
