Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented PAT Tester to join our Bentleys maintenance contract in Crewe. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of electrical appliances and equipment through comprehensive Portable Appliance Testing (PAT). Your expertise will help maintain a safe environment across the large Bentleys facility, supporting operational efficiency and safety standards. The role is full time (Monday to Friday 6am to 2.30pm with an early finish Friday) some flexibility on hours is required within the role. The candidate will be provided with a company van (business use only) and suitable equipment.
Duties
- Conduct routine PAT inspections on a wide range of electrical appliances and equipment across a large site base
- Use specialized testing equipment to assess electrical safety and identify potential faults or hazards
- Maintain detailed records of all tests performed, including test results, repairs, and maintenance logs
- Emergency light testing and maintenance
- Assisting electricians to ensure any faults are repaired and recorded as required
Skills
- Strong H&S awareness is an essential
- PAT Testing Certification is a strong advantage (but not essential as training will be provided)
- Full UK driving Licence is essential (due to the size of the site, driving is essential)
