Location: Nurtured Childcare, Wakefield
Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working times: Before nursery opens or after 5:45pm

The Role:
As our Housekeeper, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a clean, hygienic and beautifully presented nursery environment.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Complete day-to-day cleaning across the nursery.
- Carry out monthly deep cleans to maintain our high standards.
- Dust, polish and maintain surfaces throughout the nursery.
- Sweep, mop and vacuum floors, ensuring they are clean and safe.
- Manage laundry and ensure items are cleaned and stored appropriately.
- Ensure cleaning materials and products are stored safely and correctly.
- Monitor and manage cleaning stock levels.
- Support the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products and sustainable cleaning practices.
- Help create and maintain a welcoming environment for children, families and colleagues.
- Support the wider nursery team when needed – because at Nurtured Childcare, we all muck in!
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and understands the importance of exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Essential
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
- Strong understanding of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Hardworking, energetic and reliable.
- Trustworthy and comfortable taking responsibility as a key holder.
- Flexible and willing to support the wider nursery team.
- Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check.
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
- A genuine passion for creating clean, organised and welcoming environments.
Desirable
- Experience using environmentally friendly or sustainable cleaning products.
- Experience working within a nursery, school or other child-focused environment.
- Experience managing cleaning stock and supplies.
- An interest in making natural, eco-friendly cleaning products.

- 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Flexible working times to fit around your availability.
- The option to work before nursery opens, with floors dry by 7am.
- Alternatively, the option to work after 5:45pm.
