IT Field Engineer – South East

Salary up to £39,400 depending on experience
At Vertu Motors, technology plays a vital role in delivering an outstanding customer experience across our 200+ dealerships. We're looking for a hands-on IT Field Engineer to support sites across the South East, including Harlow, Chingford, Waltham Cross, Bromley, Orpington, Slough, Reading, Ascot, Beaconsfield and Aylesbury.
This is a varied, field-based role where you'll provide onsite and remote support, resolve technical issues, install new equipment and support exciting projects including dealership openings, relocations and acquisitions.
What You'll Do
- Provide onsite and remote IT support across your region.
- Install, maintain and replace PCs, laptops, tablets, printers and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware, networking and connectivity issues.
- Support telephony, infrastructure and dealership technology systems.
- Assist with site openings, refurbishments and technology projects.
- Maintain accurate asset and inventory records.
- Escalate complex technical issues and identify long-term solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a 2nd Line, Desktop Support or Field IT Support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows devices, hardware and peripherals.
- Understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and wireless networks.
- Experience with Active Directory/Entra ID and exposure to Intune or Autopilot.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Well organised, self-motivated and comfortable working across multiple sites.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the region.
Desirable Skills
- Cisco Meraki networking.
- Microsoft, Cisco or CompTIA certifications.
- Motor trade or dealership systems experience.
- Experience supporting site openings, relocations or acquisitions.
