You will work a variety of shift patterns that cover both days and nights on a rota system.
Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Support the development and implementation of care plans tailored to each individual’s needs, ensuring personalized attention.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a warm, friendly environment.
- Use effective communication skills to liaise with team members, family members, and healthcare professionals about care requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Drive or assist with transportation when necessary to facilitate appointments or outings for clients.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to create a safe environment for everyone.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Ability to use IT systems for documentation and care planning purposes
- A caring attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and patience.
- Basic understanding of care plans and the importance of personalized care delivery.
