Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacy technicians and pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare prescription labels and organise medication stock for easy retrieval
- Support with medication administration processes, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Provide excellent patient care by answering basic queries and guiding patients on medication usage
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and inventory management
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and stock replenishment as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is desirable but not essential; relevant training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Basic knowledge of medication management and administration is advantageous
- Enrolled in or willing to enrol in recognised pharmacy technician training programmes
